Today I received a very sweet gift that made me start longing for my favorite season - spring.  The beautiful bright pink daisies brightened my day and made me wish for days when the sun sets later and the world starts to turn green again.   What is your favorite season?  Why do you love it?  Describe your favorite season to us all in a way that we feel like we are sharing it with you.

Each day as students come into my classroom they share what their Elf on the Shelf was up to the night before.  I get to hear crazy stories of some very mischievous elves and what they are doing when they are all by themselves.  Keep those stories coming.  What was your Elf on the Shelf doing last night?

Today we visited BancorpSouth to help trim the Christmas tree. We would like to say thanks to the employees for inviting us and for the special treats!
 
Our third grade literacy unit this nine weeks focused on the book If You Sailed on the Mayflower in 1620.  In Mrs. Wilson's lit class we have created original works of art by following step by step instructions from an internet resource.   Check ours out, then try making your own by visiting the site Art Projects for Kids
 
This weekend we celebrate Veterans Day. We celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans. Do you have any family that served in the military? Thank them for protecting our freedom! Comment to share a freedom that you are proud to have as an American.
