Earth Day 2013

Today is Earth Day! We are learning about reducing, reusing, and recycling to help protect our planet.

We were able to experience recycling first hand today by making recycled paper. Share how we recycled our old work that we no longer needed. What were the steps? What did it feel like? Look like? What are some ways you can reduce, reuse, or recycle at home?

First we had to use a blender next we had to go outside and we had to put our hands into it and put it on something i thank you should try it two.

I can help by putting the paper on the pan or what ever. Then when I touched it was nasty.It had water,glue and,paper.Everyone got to touch it pat it put some on the pan. Mrs.Graham to us we could go home and do it sok it in water we will get our hands nasty you will put your hands in it push it around.In the water

Thanks Mrs graham for letting do all of this we got to cut out about a size of a golf ball then we had to go over to mrs graham she would put the paper then she put water and glue in it then we would go outside to put it on this cooking stove thing like you put cookies on last we would talk about we did thanks Mrs graham xoxo.

We blended paper and with water and glue
You can turn of water when you are not using it and when you leave the house turn of ever light to keep our earth clean

It was so amazing. We got to blend up paper the size of a golf ball with glue and water. It looked gross but it was actually really cool. After that we scooped a hand full then we put it on a rack then we mushed it down on the rack. I thought it was gross at first but it was so cool.

We can help by cleaning up!It can be really fun to help your planet.And a lot of times I us paper and stuf to make doll stuff.Also walago we got paper,water,and glue and put them all in a blender and blended it and then put it on a rack it was fun/gross!

Today we ripped up paper.We put the paper in a blender with glue and water in the blender and blended it up.We went outside and put it on a rack.We put blue food coloring in the paper.The activity was super fun.

We tore up peices of paper. Then we took turns looking at it while blinding it up. Next, we went outside and we had a rack with netting on it. Last, we took turns and put the paper on the rack. Also we can recycle a lot more than that. Like cans.

We made mushy paper today and I am telling you how to do it.First you need a rack,scraps of paper,a blinder,bowl of water and glue and one more bowl.So then we took the lid off the blinder in put in old paper or scrapes.Then we added water,glue.After we pored all of the mushy paper in a bowl.last we went outside and got our hands dirty but I liked the way it felt. So we put the mushy paper on the rack and set it out to dry.and that's what happend

Our class loves earth day. We are making recycled paper. It is really mushy. We had a rack screen. We put it on the ground with some skirt stuff on it. We thought it was gross because we put our hands in glue,water,and paper. Everybody thought it was gross. I thought it was fun. We had to talk about it. At first I didn't like it because it was slimy. How come it was smooshy?

I'm going to tell you how you can save the planet by recycleing and a little bit about the project we did today.You can save the planet by not throwing stuff in lakes,rivers,and streams.You can also STOP litering because if a animal eats the trash thinking it is food that will kill the animal.Now today we did a project about Earth Day.We put net on a rack and we each got to go up to the table after we tore out tiny peices of paper Mrs.Graham had a blender she put our peices of paper into the blender and poured a little water on top.Then turned it on for about 30 seconds after that she turned it off and poured it into a bowl.After everyone had a turn we went outside and got a handful we smoothed it on the we rack we had.It looked like oatmeal.It also felt like pudding.We took pictures and Mrs.Graham said she would post it on the class blog.This is how you could recycle and our project we did today in class.Happy Earth day!

It was so much fun I got to touch it! We put it in a like blender with water and glue and it was loud. When it was done it was lumpy and blueish I could feel some thing like wet paper.We took it outside some thing was on the sidewalk we pated it on this like some kind of net or some thing you put on you when you dance well we are going to get some tomorrow! I had a fun morning so far.

Today I am going to tell you about what we did and how it felt to do that.First Mrs.Graham got everybody into groups and we all got to see how she made that nasty stuff. Then Mrs.Graham got some ribbon and she tied it and made a screen.Next we all lined up and we took some photos then we went outside and Mrs.Graham called two people at a time so then we got some of that nasty stuff and when I put my hand into the nasty stuff and oh my gosh it felt so so nasty and so so slimey and disgusting!So then I kind of got used to it and after that we had to pull some out and put it on the screen and we made a little puddles and they all collided together.Then Mrs. Graham picked it up and a lot of water kept falling down from the screen and Mrs.Graham was running with the tray so she wouldn't get the gray watery stuff all over her pants or all over her shirt and then Mrs.Graham told the class that "we will need to leave our recycle paper thingmabob outside in the sunshine so it will dry and then at the end of the day we will go outside and we will check it out and she also said that she will cut our recycle paper and we will get to take a part of the paper home and I have got to tell my family the same story

We got a pece of old pece of paper and we crunch it up and put it in a blender and it got crunch up then we added some glue and put water in it to then we went out side then we got to fill the paper glue and water put together and it was slimy and it felt kind of cool to fill it and then we got to pat down on the slimy stuff on the screen and before we put the slimy stuff on it we put net on it so it would not get on the screen and right now it is out there drying and we are waiting for it to tern into a new pece of paper and the teacher is going to give the all the students in the classroom a pece of the slimy stuff that is a pece of paper

Firsst we toor the pease of paper then we put the pease we toor and put it in the Blinder. After we mooshed it we put it in a bool After we put it in the bool we went outside and then we got a hand fool of it and put it on the rake and we pated it down it is gooey.

It is funny to me because I was like IWW when I first saw it. But it was just paper. It really looked like a milk shake.
